Spice up your Christmas leftovers with this stunning leftover turkey curry. A delicious aromatic curry of cooked turkey, onions and peppers in a creamy spicy sauce. This recipe is perfect for anyone who is following the Slimming World plan, Weight Watchers or a calorie deficit.
Merry Christmas to all, did you have a wonderful day?
Did anyone else absolutely mess up their turkey this year? I severely overcooked the poor bird and it has ended up like a pair of old wellies!
“Don’t worry it will be fine with some gravy” said Mrfatgirlskinny… I however began devising my plan for using the leftovers and here we have it… this delicious juicy leftover turkey curry which is perfect for using up leftover or old welly boot turkey!
The secret to the best leftover turkey curry is to cook the creamy delicious sauce first. After that, we can just add the already cooked turkey and yogurt before heating through for a further 5 to 10 minutes. The result is succulent tender pieces of turkey as you’ve removed the risk of toughening the meat even more through over-cooking.
Easy leftover turkey curry is a real crowd pleaser and the perfect answer to what to do with turkey leftovers.
Recipe Tip: This would also work with leftover chicken
Why you’ll love this recipe….
- So creamy and delicious
- Easy to make
- A great way to use leftovers
- A winner for the whole family
- Syn free on the Slimming World plan
- Low in calories
- Perfect for a fakeaway night
We love creamy turkey curry with homemade naan bread from our stash in the freezer. Very quickly you’ll have a leftover Christmas Indian feast.
After all the rush and prep beforehand and then Christmas Day itself, we like to enjoy a relaxing Boxing Day or the days to follow. That includes easy, quick comfort food to enjoy whilst watching a Christmas film.
Batch Cook – Storage Information
I wouldn’t recommend freezing or storing leftover turkey curry because the meat has already been reheated. To then freeze, defrost and reheat again goes against the advise of not reheating leftovers more than once.
Is this recipe Slimming World friendly?
Absolutely, the recipe uses all Syn free ingredients, therefore this recipe has been classed as Syn free by the Fatgirlskinny team.

What herb melts your body fat?
While it is not possible to lose weight with diet, herbs can be a great way to burn calories. This has been a common use of herbs over the years. You can use them for this purpose: Green tea, Ginko Biloba and Ginseng.
You can either take herbs orally or apply them topically. They contain nutrients that boost the metabolism rate. These nutrients increase the rate at which glycogen stores are broken down and lipids within cells. This causes the release in the bloodstream of free fatty oils, which can then used to burn as fuel.
The immune system can be boosted and diseases prevented by herbal remedies. This makes them ideal if you don't want drugs or surgery.
People use herbs because of their effectiveness. Some people are unaware of the power and effectiveness of these natural substances. There are many places you can purchase herbs, including online, pharmacies, or health food stores. A typical dose lasts for several weeks.
Green tea is a good example of a herb that increases the metabolism rate. Green tea contains epigallocatechin glycate (EGCG), a substance that increases activity of enzymes responsible in breaking down fats. EGCG has also been shown to improve glucose tolerance. This means that it lowers the likelihood of developing diabetes.
Ginger root is another example. Ginger root acts as a stimulant. It increases metabolism and stimulates digestive tract. Ginger helps eliminate toxins from our digestive system.
Other herbs that increase metabolism include ginseng, valerian root, licorice root and mullein leaf.
In most cases, the best way to take herbs is to drink them as teas. This allows the active components to enter the bloodstream fast and efficiently. If you are taking herbs internally, make sure that you have medical supervision. If you choose to consume herbs externally, make sure that you apply them directly to the affected area. You could inflict irritation on other parts of your body or cause damage.
Are there natural alternatives to prescription drugs such as Phentermine that suppress appetite?
The best choice for people looking to lose weight is green tea extract. Green tea extract has caffeine that stimulates metabolism. Also, epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG) helps reduce fat by stimulating thermogenesis.
Green tea also contains antioxidants that fight free radicals and help protect against damage caused by stress and oxidation.
Green tea is not a way to lose weight. Green tea is a way to make your body burn more calories.
Yes, green tea is good for weight loss. However, it will not help you lose weight if you don't follow a strict calorie-controlled diet.
L-Carnitine can also be supplemented. This amino acid promotes muscle development and energy levels. You will need to eat regular meals because this amino acid doesn't curb appetite.
Is African Mango extract safe to use during pregnancy
Yes, African Mango Extract is safe to be used during pregnancy. Women who have been pregnant before can safely use it.

How To
African Mango: Nutrients, Benefits, and Downsides
Mangoes can be described as exotic fruits that were grown in tropical regions. They can be found in many countries. Mangoes, which are rich in vitamins C, potassium, fiber and calcium, are a nutritious fruit. They are rich in antioxidants including beta-carotene (lutein), lutein zeaxanthin, alpha tocopherol, and lutein.
The mango tree does best when it is between 15degC (59%degF) to 30degC (86%degF). When fully ripe, the mangoes turn yellowish green. Unripe mango flesh is tender and juicy, but it becomes firmer and more dry as it ripens.
Mangoes are used in jams, pickles (ice cream), chutneys and pickles. Mango pulp is used in India to make curries and rice dishes. In Thailand, it's added to stir-fried vegetables. Mangoes may be dried, canned or candied.
Healthy Vegetables & Fruits
Since ancient times mangoes are used to treat diabetes. Mangos can be grown all over the globe. There are many varieties of mango trees, including Alphonso, Ataulfo, Beni Suef, Bombay, Chaunsa, Coorg, Dusshera, Duronto, Florida, Kent, King, Langra, Lata, Madhuca, Mataral, Meenakshi, Muttum Varieties, Pampas, Parambikulam, Pasupuletika, Phomopsis, Ponnavan, Puttaparthi, Red Dusshera, Rishiraj, Sivamani, Tari, Tommy Atkins, Uthappam, Vadagali, Vanigai, and Warna.
Mangoes help you lose weight as they are high-water and low-calorie. Medium-sized mangoes have about 100 calories per serving and only 3g of fat. This makes them one of the healthiest fruits around.
Mangoes also contain vitamins B1, B2, and B3, as well as vitamin K, magnesium, folate, potassium, manganese (folate), pantothenic acid. They also have thiamine, biotin, riboflavin, niacin and thiamine.
Mangoes can also be loaded with phytochemicals. These are compounds found in plants that protect cells against free radical damage. Free radicals (unstable molecules that cause cell destruction) are unstable molecules. Mangoes have a special ability to protect your eyes, brain, heart and eyes.
Because mangoes are high in water, they may be a good option for those who want to lose weight. Water is good for your body and helps you feel fuller longer.
